Statistics
Renn is 1.75 m tall and has brown eyes and dark brown hair.  Her measurements are 96.5-76-106.5.  She wears a 42 dress and a 41 shoe.  She is well-known for her plus-sized body and for being outspoken about the modelling industry and how it can lead to young women having self-esteem and health issues.

Runway Work
One of Renn’s earliest runway appearances was in October of 2005.  She walked for Jean Paul Gaultier in the spring Paris show, but her appearance caused some controversy because of her body size.  Because of this, she has mostly done ad campaigns and other photo shoots instead of runway work.  However, she did close the spring Elana Miro show in September of 2007 and has walked for Vena Cava and Heatherette.

Renn’s early magazine work includes appearing in editorials for Italian Vogue, Italian Vanity Fair, and Vogue in 2004.  Her weight loss was often the focus of these early appearances, and she talked extensively about it in a January 2004 issue of Glamour.  In 2004, she appeared in French Vogue twice as well as appearing in the Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom catalogues.  2006 saw Renn modelling for the Dolce & Gabbana campaign and appearing in i-D and German Vogue, in which she appeared nude.  She also landed the covers of French Revue de Modes and Russian Harper’s Bazaar. 

Renn would pose nude again in 2007, this time in an ad for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  She was also featured in Vogue, Italian Elle, and in the 2007 Nordstrom catalogue.  During this year, she appeared in several ad campaigns for the Spanish company Mango, and it was noted that she was wearing regular-sized clothing instead of clothing aimed specifically at plus-sized women.  In 2008, she appeared on the cover of Italian Elle.  She has also worked with Lane Bryant and Evans and Torrid.

Notable Interviews, Appearances, and Book Deal
Early in her career, Renn made several television appearances to talk about modelling and weight loss.  She spoke out on The Tyra Banks Show about the pressure of losing weight in 2005.  That same year, she also appeared on The View to talk about modelling.  Following these interviews, Renn guest starred on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006.  In 2007, she was interviewed by Jada Yuan for New York at the Ford Supermodel event.

In 2009, Renn wrote a book, Hungry: A Young Model’s Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves, that details her career as a model and the eating disordered she had to deal with before she became comfortable with her body image.

Personal Life
On 30 June 2007, Renn and her boyfriend of many years, Gregory Vrecenak, were married in Manhattan, New York.  Fashion photographer Brian Boulos took photos of her wedding.  The couple lives in New York with their dog, Sophie.
