American fashion model Darla Baker was born on 13 December 1988 in Portland, Oregon. She actively sought out a career in modelling, and after an interview with Mode Models in 2005, she signed with the agency. That year, she also signed with Women Management and Supreme. Since then, she has been represented by a number of different agencies, including Elite Models, Why Not, Models 1 London, Ace Models, Marylin Agency, and LA Models. She officially left Women Management in 2007 to sign with Why Not.
Baker has brown hair and green eyes. She is 176 cm tall, and her measurements are 86.5-61-89. She wears a 34 dress and a 40 shoe. She is well known for her eyes and for her pout.
On the Runway
Baker made her runway debut in January of 2005 at the spring Chanel show in Paris. The next year, she walked for Nanette Lepore, Cynthia Rowley, Giambattista Valli, Zac Posen, and Viktor & Rolf. Also in 2006 she once again walked for Chanel, and she made her first appearances on the runway for Oscar de la Renta, 3.1 philip lim, Kenzo, Miu Miu, and Alessandro Dell’Acqua.
In 2007, Baker opened the Custo Barcelona fall show in New York. She also walked for Anna Sui, Alexander Wang, Tuleh, Thakoon, and Lacoste,. Since then, she has not made many appearances on the runway. She skipped the fall ready-to-wear season in 2008, although she did make an appearance at the Chris Benz show.
Baker has made many different appearances in print since beginning her modelling career. One of her earliest editorials was in March of 2006 when she appeared in Teen Vogue. That year she was also featured in the spring campaign for Express and in the fall Neiman Marcus catalogue. In October, she appeared on the cover of German Vogue.
It was in 2007 that Baker landed her first major campaign—she was named the face of Giuseppe Zanotti. She also appeared on the cover of French Revue de Modes, Fashion, and Italian Numero. She also appeared in Blackbook, Interview, and in Nylon. She was featured in the Malo spring ad, the Nordstrom fall 2007 catalogue, and the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalogue.
While she didn’t do much runway work in 2008, she did appear in a Wonderland editorial, the cover of Italian Vogue, and she modelled for the Neiman Marcus spring catalogue.
