His career takes off in splendid style
Following the Vogue Hommes shoot his career took an upward spiral of unimaginable (for him) proportions and a deluge of photo shoots swiftly followed. Editorial appearances for Wonderland and iD in the August of 2008 were swiftly followed by his largest job to date when Ash Stymest was photographed by Ben Toms for the editorial of the autumn issue of Another Man while styled in Fred Perry. His rise to fame continued the following month when models.com featured him in their celebrated “rising star” category, which was followed by an editorial appearance in Dazed & Confused with images taken by London-based fashion photographer Toyin. In October 2008 he debuted on the catwalk when Ash Stymest did the Balenciaga spring show which took place in Paris.
A busy end to his first year
His first hectic year was far from over though, with a string of high profile assignments before Christmas. He appeared in a David Oldham shot editorial for Upstreet and also featured on the autumn cover of EY! Electric! Youth! Ash Stymest's first year as a professional model ended with an editorial in Dazed & Confused with photographs by Brett Lloyd. 2009 started in much the same vein for the English youngster, with an editorial in the Italian edition of Vogue and another appearance for the Dazed & Confused magazine, this time featured on the cover. With demand high for his services throughout the fashion industry, Ash Stymest has certainly become a firm favourite – not only with designers and photographers, but also a legion of fans across the world, male as well as female.
Although only in the industry for little over a year, the youngster has had a massive amount of work for one so “fresh” in the industry. We can only speculate how far this boy from England can really go but we have a sneaky feeling that we will be hearing a lot more about the career of Ash Stymest in the future. |
