Eden Clark is a relatively young model who was born in September 1989 on the Isle of Wight, England, and there she lived a life of relative obscurity until she was discovered at a music festival in 2007 at the age of seventeen. Eden immediately signed with One Model Management group, and within a few months made her first professional appearance in September of that same year as an exclusive model at a Burberry show in Milan.

This kind of attention is something that some rising young models can spend years working toward, but Clark’s captivating look, simplistic beauty, and unmistakable pout immediately set her apart from the other young models in the pack. In October 2007, just a month after attending this spring show, Eden Clark was named as one of the up and coming models to keep tabs on. The look Clark had that so captivated many of the designers that she soon found herself getting very busy less than six months after her first show.
2008 – A busy year
Eden Clark might have been stunned by the relative quickness with which she found herself thrust into the modelling world, but the next year was something else entirely. Early 2008 got off to a busy start for her as she was featured in an editorial pictorial in the Italian Vogue in February. Also in February Clark walked in several different shows in Milan, including Burberry, Marni, and even Prada. She even managed to walk at the Paris Miu Miu show that featured her as an exclusive as they unveiled their autumn line-up. During the summer months Eden Clark stayed busy by becoming the new model for Kenzo Jeans and the Burberry Black Label. These achievements are considered to be something major for a model as it allows them to get a lot more publicity than normal to millions of people worldwide. While walking in designer shows will get models well known with designers, being named as the new and exciting face of a product is something that can completely shape a prospective modelling career.
By September 2008 Clark’s popularity with designers began to seek her out, and she opened a show in Paris for Gaspard Yurkievich that was intended to display his spring line. Then, she was once again featured in a Vogue editorial (British) in November. During the end of the year Eden Clark changed modelling agencies, moving from One Model Management to Supreme Management. Lots of excitement to come
With all of the talk that is going on with Eden Clark it is clear that she is a star on the rise and not just a brief twinkle. Many models who peak this early often find themselves disillusioned by the world of modelling and designers at an early age, but this does not appear to be the case with Clark. In fact, she has already been photographed for two different editorials in the first half of 2009 (Japan’s Vogue and W), not to mention that she was specially picked to model for Burberry’s special pre-fall presentation in New York in January 2009. |
