Her next job was just four and a half months later when she was photographed by the esteemed fashion photographer Mario Testino for the British version of Vogue. This was an important step in her career because it was at this photo shoot that she gained the nickname “Little Jacquetta” as she was compared to another British model, Jacquetta Wheeler. Jacquetta is also commonly known as Mario’s muse, so it was a high honour to be compared by the photographer to such a prominent model in his photographing experience.
Her good luck of getting good modelling gigs continued as it was the very next month that she was asked to walk for the spring Emporio Armani show in Milan. Milan is an important place for fashion, and it is a little unusual that a model’s first experience at the catwalk would be at such a highly anticipated event, but the fact of the matter is that this was Buxton’s first professional experience on the catwalk, and she followed it up in February of 2007 when she made her first appearance at the fast-paced New York Fashion Week when she walked for both Cynthia Steffe and Marc Jacobs.

Since appearing in an editorial for the magazine Evening Standard in February of 2007, it does not appear Sophie Buxton has done any recent modelling work. Although photographs of her surfaced showing she had cropped her blonde hair from its usually lengthy style to a short bob. Since she appeared on the modelling scene when she was relatively young, it is possible that she is just taking a brief hiatus.
One thing is for certain, and that is with her adorable looks, captivating eyes, and her stance on the catwalk, Sophie Buxton is likely to make more appearances if she decides to make the transition from young model to adult model.
