H&M spring collection is vibrant and ever so colorful. The Garden collection uses floral patterns, it is inspired by the natual green of the 70s. The new H&M clothing of spring 2010 is 100% orgaic, made for the women who have been waiting for the bright lights of the spring.
H&M clothing (H and M standing for Hennes & Mauritz AB), is a Swedish company, known for their quality, inexpensive and very fashionable products. Officially, H&M was established in Västerås, Sweden, in 1947 by Erling Persson, though at the time the store only sold women's clothing and was called Hennes, Swedish for "hers." In 1968, Persson acquired the premises and inventory of a Stockholm hunting equipment store named Mauritz Widforss. Included in the inventory was a supply of men's apparel, prompting Persson to expand into menswear. Accordingly, he renamed the store Hennes & Mauritz, later abbreviated to H&M.
 

 

Stores
 
H&M has more than 2000 stores in 35 different countries and has more than 73,000 employees. Stefan Persson, Erling's son, became CEO in 1990 and Chairman of the Board in 1998. The Church of Sweden is a major shareholder in the H&M chain. In September 2008 H&M opened its first store in Japan, it was in Ginza followed by  another opening in Harajuku in November 2008, the third one in the Shibuya shopping district in September, 2009. H&M has signed an agreement to open its first store in Myungdong in Seoul, South Korea to open during the spring of 2010. The first Russian presence was launched in "Metropolis" center in Moscow on march 13th. The second one in march 2009 in "MEGA" mall followed by the October opening in Belaya Dacha "MEGA" mall. Europe's biggest shopping center "Golden Babylon" opened its H&M location in October 2009.

Collections
 
As its price point is in the discount fashion range, H and M markets its clothing also to high-end fashion consumers, both through ads in fashion magazines and the placement of stores in areas more typically associated with more expensive designer stores. In November 2004, selected H and M clothing stores offered an exclusive collection by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The press reported large crowds and that that the initial H&M inventory was sold out within an hour. In November 2005, H&M chain launched a collection by Stella McCartney and, in November 2006, by avant-garde Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf. The company presented another collaboration with Madonna in March 2007, designed by the star, and in 2007, another design with Kylie Minogue was launched in Shanghai, China. Spring/Summer 2009 was styled by the British designer Matthew Williamson. The new collection of handbags, shoes and garments made from suede and leather by Jimmy Choo was available in November 2009. Sonia Rykiel is the new H&M chief designer launching the women's range of lingerie and knitwear. Sonia Rykiel's designs are now available in H&M stores worldwide.

Virtual H&M (Sims 2 H&M fashion)

The combined forces of H&M and Electronic Arts (EA) created a virtual world of fashion "The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff Pack". It is now available at EA online and in stores. The stuff pack has all the virtual replicas of H&M clothing from the H&M chain's collection, as well as all the gadgets usual H&M clothing store has, such as cash registers, changing rooms, mannequins, shopping bags, and so on.
