AQUASCUTUM - attention to detail

AQUASCUTUM high quality clothing

The name of the fashion house came from its early days as a supplier of apparel to British military officers and the Latin translation of Aquascutum means waterproof. It was during the 1960s that Aquascutum branched out and began trading in other countries such as USA, Canada, Japan and other European countries.
The Autumn/Winter 11/12 Aquascutum collection is full of classic pieces which are designed to further reinforce Aquascutum’s position as a magnificent British fashion house. With timeless classics in stunning designs, this collection is both luxurious and stylish. The use of traditional hounds tooth for much of the designs created a typically British feel to this collection. With definite hints of 1940s fashion focusing on the silhouette, there are slimming figure enhancing dresses and pencil skirts to choose from.

AQUASCUTUM classic sophistication

AQUASCUTUM tailored to perfection

This Aquascutum collection features six coats which all create a confident beautiful look with classic sophistication combined with a hint of modern twists. Using luxurious fabrics such as cashmere, flannel, furs and wools they exude elegance and style. They are constructed in a mix of fabulous styles with classic cuts and striking details.

The collection also features a number of skirts, dresses, knits, blouses and trousers. Again these pieces have been created using the most luxurious fabrics and ooze style and elegance. Dresses such as the Syble, Katia, Eva, Bette, Lisette, Mimi, Christal, Juju and Elodie are made from stunning taffetas, jacquards, crochets, tulles and crepes to name a few. There is a range of rich colours from deep reds, to golds and browns. An entire section of stunning black Aquascutum clothing gives a definite winter feel. With some seasonal reds browns and pinks in a mix of floral prints, checks and hounds tooth, this is an elegant, classic collection.

The clothing for men also comprises classic stylish clothes made from deluxe fabrics and tailored to perfection. The attention to detail for which Aquascutum are so widely known is evident in the many coats, shirts, suits, trousers and jackets in the collection. With coats and jackets made from wools and leathers, there is a definite 1960s feel to the clothes. There have been new colours added to the AquaMac including silver, deep red, olive and mustard. The traditional trench coat has been adorned with features such as wrist straps, gun flaps, epaulettes and belts and has been modernised with a narrow silhouette. There are plenty of coats and jackets such as a sporty bomber, and down filled coats which are rain and wind proof.

There is a range of evening wear and coats which have taken inspiration from stars from the silver screen, and are made from deluxe materials with a high end finish. Four styles of suit have been included in the collection including a tuxedo and a one, two or three button single breasted suit. Finishing off the menswear collection is a range of the finest hand crafted shirts and knits and stylish trousers in slim modern fits. Aquascutum continues to make its mark as one of the leading British fashion houses with this stunning collection of classic pieces which have been as usual created exquisitely from the finest fabrics.
