Early Life
Alexandra Tomlinson is an American model born on 19 August 1985.  She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  Tomlinson was first discovered in 2003, and she was signed by IMG initially.  Currently, she is represented by IMG New York, d-management of Milan, IMG of London, and Nathalie Paris.

Tomlinson is 180cm high, and her measurements are 86cm-59cm-86cm.  She has brown hair and blue/green eyes.  Her dress size is 34, while her shoe size is 41.  She is well known for her delicate bone structure and her long legs.
Runway Work
Tomlinson made her runway debut in 2004 when she appeared in shows in Milan and Paris for big names like Chanel, Christian Dior, Marni, Jil Sander, Giorgio Armani, and Louis Vuitton.  In 2006, she then walked in the spring shows in New York and Paris for 3.1 philip lim, Derek Lam, Carolina Herrera, and John Galliano.  While Tomlinson only walked in a few major shows for 2005 and 2006, her runway work picked up in 2007.  She walked in the spring show for Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Armani Prive in Paris in January.  Then in September, she appeared on the catwalk for Balenciaga, Hermes, Lanvin, Givenchy, and she closed the spring Adam Lippes show.

January 2008 saw Tomlinson on the runway for Christian Dior, Armani Prive, Valentino, and Givenchy in Paris.  She also walked in the fall show for Balenciaga in Paris in March.  That summer saw Tomlinson modelling designs by Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Armani Prive in Paris.  2008 would become one of Tomlinson’s busiest years—in September, she once again took to the runway, walking for Chanel, John Galliano, Sonia Rykiel, Christian Lacroix, and Yves Saint Laurent.

It was during the January 2009 Chanel show that Tomlinson took a small tumble.  She was wearing very high heels, and her right foot came down wrong on the runway.  She had recovered by March, however, and fearlessly opened the Anne Valerie Hash fall show in Paris.

In Publications and Print
In addition to her runway work, Tomlinson has also appeared in a number of print publications and ads.  Her first was in February of 2005 when she appeared in a Harper’s Bazaar editorial.  The next year, David Sims photographed her for Benetton.  That was followed by an appearance in the fall ad campaign of Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti.  Tomlinson made her first appearance in the Vogue world when she was featured in French Vogue in December of 2006.

Tomlinson would start off 2007 by appearing in the New York Times T Style modelling Giambattista Vallis and Fendi designs.  That year, she also appeared in German Vogue and was photographed for D&G.  It was also during 2007 that Tomlinson would have her first cover—she graced the front of French Revue de Modes.  In 2008, she was featured in Numero, Muse, Italian Vogue, and appeared on the cover of Italian Flair.  Finally, her 2009 appearances in print include modelling for ad campaigns for St. John and Roberto Cavalli Class, and she made appearances on the covers of two Italian magazines: Marie Claire (in June and September) and Flair.

Other Work
In addition to her runway shows and publications, Tomlinson has been named the face of Paul & Joe in 2008 and became the face of DeBeers in 2009.
