Born in Panama City, Florida on August the 11th of 1975, the beautiful Carolyn Murphy grew up in three different places because of her mother and father’s divorce. She mainly stayed in Florida and went back and forth to England and then to Maryland.
When Miss Murphy was only 16, her mother decided to enroll her in modeling school; soon after, she started modeling in her locality followed by gigs abroad. After high school, the size 4, 5 foot 9 goddess went to college, hoping only to model part time. Her part time job however, opened doors for her and she did not know then that she would be one of the hottest models not only in town but in the whole of the fashion world as well.
Carolyn Murphy’s Rise in the Fashion Scene
The beautiful blue eyed girl was spotted by an agent from Women Model Management in New York in 1990. After shooting for local gigs for a few years, Carolyn was later on featured on French Vogue. The beauty was photographed by the talented photographer Raymond Meier. A few months later, she graced the cover of fashion magazine, W followed by French Elle on September of that same year.
The fashion model was loved by the magazines because of her refreshing yet very beautiful face, she again appeared on Vogue, this time Vogue Italia on October of 1996 and she was photographed by the infamous Steven Meisel.
On the same month, after appearing on Italian Vogue, the tantalizing beauty again appears on French Vogue.
By 1997, Murphy’s career as a fashion model started to reach the peaks of success when she became the face of high fashion couture house, Gucci. By April of the same year, Miss Murphy appeared on Vogue again followed by other leading fashion magazines.
Many photo shoots later, she appeared for the ad campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. A few modeling gigs later, the blue eyed fashion model was invited to pose for the Pirelli calendar. By May, she graced British Vogue with her beauty and poise.
The British loved the American model and had her featured again on the magazine a few months later that year. By October, Miss Murphy was named VH1 and Vogue’s Model of the Year –establishing the fact that Murphy was making a heck of a splash in the fashion scene.
A year later she renewed her contract with fashion house Calvin Klein and later on appeared in an ad campaign for Versace. By November 1999 she was featured on Vogue as one of the fashion models who made it to Models of the Millennium. In that same month, the fashion model ventured into Hollywood and appeared in Liberty Heights –a movie set in 1950s Baltimore about the coming of age of teenagers. The beautiful Miss Carolyn Murphy plays Dubbie, blonde haired girl love interest of the Van Kurtzman character. The story’s plot revolves not only around the coming of ages of teens but it is also a story about anti-semitism, fathers and sons, and race relations.
After her first successful film, the fashion model turned actress renewed her contract with Versace in 2000 and later on signed yet another contract to become the face for Harry Winston and MaxMara. A year later, she was named as the spokesperson for Estee Lauder.
After her split with her husband and a rough year, she posed in Sports Illustrated in 2002 followed by a music video “Are You In” –her then boyfriend was the band’s front man, Brandon Boyd.
She also closed the spring couture show for Versace that year and also closed the spring show for Marc Jacobs in New York City.
Three years later, the fashion model was photographed for Fendi by the famous and infamous Karl Lagerfeld. She was again featured on Sports Illustrated’s cover in February of 2005 before the fashion model turned 30. She did not look her age though; she was still as radiant and beautiful as ever.

Carolyn Murphy’s Marriage
Along with the renewal of her contract with Calvin Klein, Miss Murphy started dating surf-shop owner and surfer Jack Schroeder whom she later on married.
Some people are baffled as to what happened to the seemingly perfect love affair of Carolyn Murphy and Jack Schroeder. The surprisingly shy model was very much reluctant to continue her career as an actress and shied away from the spotlight in 1999 when she moved to Costa Rica with then husband Jack Schroeder. She later on gave birth to their beautiful daughter Dylan Bleu in December a year after their wedding. The baby girl was born in New York. When the little girl turned 1, Carolyn Murphy’s relationship with her husband fell apart and ended in a divorce in 2001.
She later on met Incubus front man and hunk, Brandon Boyd in 2002 and moved on with her life with Boyd and her daughter. Dylan Bleu even called Boyd “daddy”. After three years however, the two split and a year later, Jack was back. Murphy’s former husband was charged with extortion and later on arrested for peddling a sex tape of him and his former wife, Carolyn Murphy. The video was taken during their honeymoon in Barbados a few years back. Months later, a leak of the video was shown all over the internet.
