The beautiful blonde was discovered by Kelly Streit and rocked the catwalk after that. She was first approached by Streit in 1997 but Miss Dunstall opted to finish school first before entering the world of glitz and glam. Julia Dunstall has always been the type who knows her priorities and got that kind of discipline from her parents.

The fashion industry is feeling the fatigue for models coming and going. There are just too many of them. Of course the industry adores Kate Moss and loves Naomi Campbell but the others has just become not only androgynous but almost invisible because they all seem to look the same –Julia Dunstall however has added a breath of fresh air because of her style and her smile.
Julia Dunstall loves to play hockey. She also likes rock climbing and skateboarding. She loves playing soccer as well and sure do love her converse shoes. This absolutely delightful fashion model is very down to earth and is not pretentious about the things around her and about herself. Her style is much of a reflection of this personality.
Miss Dunstall is adored by her fans because she is not too self absorbed and is not at all obsessed by her success in the fashion industry. She does not seem to have an ego at all which separates her from the rest of her peers.
Julia loves to laugh and she is always smiling not only when talking to friends but to other people as well. She tries to have fun in everything she does. She likes Lacoste and has fun wearing their clothes. There was even one time that Julia was dancing backstage with other models, just having fun with what they do.
Julia Dunstall also appeared for Rad Hourani’s God. The shoot was beautifully made and very creative as well –like most of Hourani’s creations.
According to one of her interviews when asked about modeling and being a model Julia said, “Getting to travel a lot is awesome…and also meeting cool people.” With Julia Dunstall’s personality of being almost always laid back with her style of clothing, she loves the simple things about modeling i.e. the perks of meeting people who are cool to be with and going around places she has never been to before.
The former farm girl has a nonstop, super hectic schedule and amidst her success in the runway, she has maintained her tomboyish image and will not throw away her skateboard or gets rid of her camping gear. This quaint Canadian will never alter the things that she loves just because of the fashion industry.
In an interview with Alison Griffin, Dunstall said, “I love wildlife and the great outdoors –I can gut a fish in like seven seconds.” Now that is amazing. A true blue Canadian, Julia Dunstall loves her chucks and wears those most of the time rather than wearing those killer stilettos.
Dunstall is simply one of a kind.
