Miss Cant has three siblings – all girls. The eldest is Alanna who is four years older than Lisa while Rita is just a year older than the model. Rita, now a journalist at The Link, is a graduate at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Marina, the youngest of the four is currently studying to be an actress in Vancouver.

The meteoric rise of the Canadian beauty has wowed the fashion world and her fans all over the globe. The tantalizing Miss Cant is known to be one of the doll like beauties alongside baby dolls Heather Marks, Lily Cole, Devon Aoki, Jessica Stam and Gemma Ward.
Back in 1999, Lisa Cant was a shy teenager who was doing a little shopping in a local Ikea store when a model spotted her. Three years later, when she already turned 17, she debuted on the New York runway for the spring fashion show for Betsey Johnson. She was photographed by Annie Leibowitz for Ann Taylor two years after her debut.
2004 was a good year for the baby doll when she walked for Christian Lacroix, Chanel, Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs, and Dolce & Gabbana for their fall season shows. In the same month, she graced her very first major cover for Vogue Italia.
The beautiful Miss Cant showed the world that she can and world-renowned photographer Steven Meisel was impressed. By March, barely a month later, Steven Meisel was reportedly so taken by the Canadian beauty that he invites her to do another cover for Vogue Italia.
By September, the young lad rocked the ramps by walking for Anna Sui, Helmut Lang, BCBG Max Azria, Peter Som, Tuleh and Marc by Marc Jacobs for their spring shows in New York City.
By October of 2004, the Canadian baby doll appeared in an editorial for W magazine where she was photographed by the talented Paolo Roversi.
A month later she was nicknamed “The Bug” because of her large, doll-like eyes and her broad forehead. This nickname was started by the leading newspaper in New York City, the New York Times.
By the year 2005, Cant finally got her very own cosmetics contract with nothing less than Chanel. She also walks for Chanel in the early part of the year along with runway projects with Christian Lacroix and Anne Valerie Hash for their couture shows in Paris, France.
The young lady rested for a few months and came back in August of 2005 with a cover for Korean Vogue together with her very good friend Heather Marks.
By October, Miss Cant appears in another editorial, this time for Vogue. She was photographed by talented and artistic Arthur Elgort.
In 2006, she signs a contract to become the official face for Juicy Couture. She appears again in an editorial for Vogue Italia and was photographed by well-known photographer Paolo Roversi.
March was a good month for “The Bug” because she walked for Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Nina Ricci, Burberry, and Alexander McQueen for their fall shows in Paris and Milan.
After that Miss Cant poses for D&G garbed in Dolce & Gabbana of course, and she was photographed by no other than Steven Klein.

By June, she graces the cover for Italian Flair and later signs a contract with Akris as its official face for its fall ad campaign.
By 2007, Miss Cant goes ‘juicylicous’ by signing a fragrance contract with the newly famous brand Juciy Couture.
By September of the same year, Miss Lisa Cant opened the spring show for Sari Gueron in New York City. She also walks for Givenchy, Chanel, Balenciaga, and Miu Miu.
By December, she graces the cover for German Vogue. She was photographed by Lubomirski.
2008 smelled sweet for Miss Cant because she renewed her contract with Juicy that year and also became the official face for the Carolina Herrera parfum.
January of that year she walks the runway for Chanel, Givenchy, and Christian Dior spring shows in Paris. A month later, this busy bee or bug, opened the fall show for Luisa Beccaria and Sari Gueron for their New York and Milan fall couture shows.
By May she appeared on the cover of fashion magazine Velvet. On the same month she graces Vogue Germany again, this time alongside Guinevere van Seenus. The two women were photographed by the artistic Steven Klein.
By July of 2008, Miss Cant appeared in the editorial for Brazilian Vogue. Photography was done by Donald McPherson, The doll like beauty also walked for high fashion houses Chanel, Givenchy and Christian Dior for their fall couture shows held in Paris, France.
By September, she opened the Sari Gueron spring couture show in New York City and she closed the show for Lela Rose.
By November of 2008 she appeared in yet another editorial for Vogue Italia and it was followed by Spanish Vogue’s editorial in December. Photography for the Spanish Vogue editorial was done by Fabio Chizula.
By 2009, Lisa Cant was featured in Velvet and photography was done by the talented Enrique Badulescu.
