After Taylor’s debut in Milan he immediately flew to Paris for Paris Fashion Week and walked for the spring couture show for Yves Saint Laurent and Lanvin. His runway gig was followed by an ad campaign for Pringle of Scotland. He was photographed by the great Steven Meisel. His early stints prove to be very promising since not many get projects as early as the first year. Most models wait a few years before getting their first big gig. To Taylor Fuchs however, getting into the best gigs and projects in town is not at all surprising.
In September of the same year, the then 20 year old Fuchs walked for the spring couture shows for Marc by Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan New York in New York City. New York Fashion Week proved to be successful when the model posed for 10 Men in its twenty page spread fall issue. The spread was followed by GQ Style.
Taylor Fuch’s first year in the world of glitz and glamour was indeed successful and the young man was everywhere.
Fuchs started the year by appearing in V magazine’s editorial for its January issue. His photos were taken by Terry Tsiolis by February Mr. Taylor Fuchs walks for John Varvatos and Lacost for their fall couture shows in York City.
2008 was a good year for the fashion model as well. 2008 was of course better than his very first year in the world of fashion. He landed projects in high fashion houses, becoming the talk of his contemporaries.
He officially became the official face for GF Ferre for its spring collection. This contract was followed by D&G’s resort ad campaign; Fuchs was photographed by talented photographer Mario Testino. The Canadian was later photographed by the very creative David Sims for United Colors of Benetton for its spring ad campaign.
His presence in the fashion industry was felt more than ever when the model appeared in the spring issue of one of the leading fashion magazines in the world – Numero Homme. The Adonis was photographed by the very talented photographer Greg Kadel.
By July of 2008, Taylor landed yet another runway stint when he opened the John Galiano spring couture show in Paris, France. Proving his prowess in the catwalk, Taylor closed the spring couture show for Alessandro Dell’Acqua in Milan.
Taylor Fuchs later appeared in the Donna Karan New York ad campaign together with the venerated Iman and sizzling fashion model Alana Zimmer. Posing with the kinds of Iman and Zimmer signaled the rise of Taylor Fuchs in the world of glitz and glamour.
His charm and good looks landed him the contract to become the official face of Valentino in 2008. He graced its ad campaigns along with models Isabeli Fontana and Angela Lindvall. The three beautiful people were photographed by one of the best photographers in the industry, Peter Lindbergh.
2008 was not just a good year for Fuchs, it was a very hectic year comprised of one photo shoot after the other and a mix of runway stints for high fashion houses. By August of ’08, he appeared in the editorial for Details magazine and was photographed by the very artistic photographer Thomas Schenk. August was a busy month as well when he decided to move from his agency Public Image Worldwide to another modeling management authority –Wilhelmina Models.
A month later, the Canadian Adonis did not get rest from all the hectic activities in the fashion world. He appeared in yet another editorial, this time for V magazine. The model’s rather tantalizing photos were taken by Andreas Larsson.
It was followed by yet another photo shoot, this time he was photographed by Terry Tsiolis for the fall issue of the magazine Man About Town.
He took a month’s rest and came back with a vengeance by appearing in yet another editorial for V magazine. He was photographed again by Terry Tsiolis.
By June of 2009, Taylor Fuchs ranked 9th in Forbes’ Top Male Models.
